Celebrate community youth+team Code or Create projects (2 teams per organization) and also tables to showcase summer opportunities for youth. In total, there are 6 different nonprofits supporting youth across the city in Everyone Can Code + Create programming. The event will be moderated by two current youth participants.
The top projects will be featured at the showcase, focused on the following programs:
• iOS App Development Prototypes
• Creativity Projects ( photos, illustrations, artwork ).
Students are expected to arrive at the Apple Developer Academy for check-in. They will be greeted by staff and then proceed to their designated areas to begin their day’s activities.
Scholars participate in on-stage presentation rehearsals. During this time, they practice and refine their presentations, receiving feedback from mentors and peers to enhance their delivery and content.
Scholars enjoy lunch and engage in individual mentorship sessions. This time allows for a break and offers personalized guidance from mentors to support their projects and professional development.
Parents and guardians arrive at the Apple Developer Academy. They are welcomed by staff and may participate in scheduled activities, such as presentations or meetings, to engage with the academy and their scholars.
Celebrating the ingenuity, creativity, and skills of Detroit youth (16 to 24). The top projects will be featured at the showcase, focused on the following programs:
Join us for an informal meet and greet session following the showcase. This is a great opportunity to network with fellow participants, industry experts, and community leaders. Share your experiences, discuss your coding projects, creative development, and explore future collaborations in a relaxed and friendly environment. Refreshments will be provided.
The event concludes, and scholars and families depart the Apple Developer Academy.
